How does the ranking system work?
We use the FIBS rating formula, the standard of the backgammon community since the 1990s. Everyone starts at 600. Winning a ranked match raises your rating and losing lowers it, by an amount that depends on how strong the opponent is, the match length and how much rated play you have behind you; a longer match counts for more, the early matches of a newcomer count for more, and no single match moves you by more than 200 points.
Can I play with my friends?
Absolutely! You can add your friends to your list, invite them to private tables, and enjoy backgammon together.
Is membership free?
Yes, Online Backgammon is completely free to play. You can download and start playing right away.
What if I lose my internet connection?
If you get disconnected, our system will attempt to reconnect you automatically. If you return within a certain timeframe, you can resume your match exactly where you left off.
